Accessibility

Working draft. Rewrite this page from the findings of the accessibility audit before launch. Last updated 14 September 2026.

What this site is aiming for

This site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 at Level AA. Aiming for that standard and fully meeting it are two different claims, and only the first one is being made here.

What has been done

Every image carries a text description. Headings are used in order so a screen reader can move through a page by structure. Every control can be reached and used with a keyboard, and the keyboard focus is visible. Text and background colours have been checked for contrast. The site works at phone width without side to side scrolling. Motion is reduced for anyone whose device asks for that.

What still falls short

This section is filled in from the audit and it is left honest. An accessibility statement that lists nothing is usually a statement nobody tested.

Things outside our control

Some parts of this site are provided by other companies, including the booking calendar and the email sign up. Their accessibility is theirs to fix. Where one of them causes a problem for you, tell me and I will either find another way to serve you or replace the tool.

If something does not work

Write to me through the contact form and say what you were trying to do and what happened. You will get a reply within three working days and you will not be asked to prove anything. If the site cannot be made to work for you, we will do it by email or by phone instead. Nobody is going to be turned away because of a website.
